The Foundation supports organizations in a variety of ways—from financial assistance to mentoring, strategic guidance, technical assistance, etc. the Foundation works with like-minded organizations for the good of the region.

MCPSA was formed in 2005 by a dedicated group of volunteers and member schools. In 2006, the Association began to expand the portfolio of services offered to the charter school community and hired its first Executive Director.
